1. Information We Collect

We collect account information such as your name, email address, login provider, profile photo, school, major, graduation timing, target roles, skills, certifications, work and project history, and links you choose to add.

We collect product content you provide or generate, including resumes, parsed resume data, career profiles, target roles, readiness reports, project recommendations, project workspaces, tasks, notes, job applications, job descriptions, generated assets, interview prep, LinkedIn rewrites, cover letters, networking templates, feedback, and public roadmap submissions.

We collect usage and technical information such as pages viewed, feature interactions, generation counts, AI run status, browser and device information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, cookies, timestamps, logs, and error reports.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers. We may store Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, subscription status, plan, price ID, renewal period, trial status, discounts, invoice status, and limited billing metadata.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide the Projects2Jobs service, personalize recommendations, parse resumes, generate AI-assisted outputs, save workspaces and job-search materials, enforce usage limits, process subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, debug errors, improve product quality, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product performance, improve prompts and workflows, evaluate feature demand, and publish high-level business metrics. We do not use private resume or profile content in public marketing without your permission.

3. AI Processing

When you request AI-assisted output, we may send relevant profile, resume, project, application, job description, and prior generated content to AI providers so they can produce the requested result. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing it before using it with employers, recruiters, or the public.

4. Sharing

We share information with service providers that help us operate the service, including Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Stripe for billing; OpenAI or other AI providers for generation; PostHog or similar analytics providers; Sentry or similar error monitoring providers; hosting providers; email providers; and contractors who help provide support or operations.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request; to protect rights, safety, security, and service integrity; to investigate fraud or abuse; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

If you create a public roadmap, the fields shown in the publishing flow will be public. Do not publish confidential employer information, private credentials, personal contact details, or anything you do not want indexed or shared.

5. Cookies And Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure product usage, detect errors, prevent abuse, and improve the service. Browser settings may let you limit cookies, but some authenticated features may not work without them.

6. Retention And Deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. You can delete your account from settings. Account deletion removes your account, private profile data, resumes, projects, generated assets, and stored files from active systems, except information we must retain for billing, security, fraud prevention, backup, or legal reasons.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication controls, row-level database policies, private storage for sensitive files, limited service-role access, HTTPS, and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices And Rights

You can update profile information, remove uploaded files, cancel subscriptions through the billing portal when available, and delete your account from settings. You may also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of personal information. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We do not sell personal information for money. If our analytics or advertising practices are treated as a sale or sharing under an applicable state privacy law, you may contact us to opt out.

9. Children

Projects2Jobs is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. International Users

Projects2Jobs is operated from the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the service or by email.
